Hi Emilie, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your lifestyle?

I am French, I did a business school and always looked for a job where you meet people. I left my routine life in France and came to the Azores in 2017 to open a backpacker and welcome both travelers and digital nomads. I don’t like to be stuck. I need to have projects.

Can you tell us a bit about Novovento workation Azores?

It is a place to meet people, to discover a secret place in Europe, a paradise for nature lovers. Novovento means new air, find the inspiration, start a new project… A lot of my guests come to the Azores to take a deep breathing and escape from cities in order to think about their life. Professional or personal life. 

What do you like the most about living in Azores islands?

It is a peacefull and quiet place surrounded by the sea. A volcanic island where everything grows even the projects and ideas! Portuguese people are really kind. And we are far from the craziness of the World here!

What do you like the most about your job?

To meet new people every day, to share good moments together. Exchange life experiences. To make them feeling good.

And what are the downsides of it (in case there are any)?

To see my guests leave. :(( Especially when they stay 1 month or more, it is hard to say goodbye… even if we stay in touch!

Can you tell us what is your biggest dream?

To open a place like Novovento in Brazil with a big land.

Rémy Lasset, french blogger who comes at Novovento every year. He works on the idea of „green coworking“. He became a friend. 🙂
