Hi Melissa, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your lifestyle?

I’ve been traveling since 2014 and I became a digital nomad in 2015. Now that I’m getting a bit older, I tend to stick to places for a longer period of time and have a base. I’ve been creating content since 2015 – I do blogging and SEO.

What is your current destination?

I’ve been based in Thailand for a while now, and the plan is to move to Bulgaria later this year.

Can you tell us a bit about the projects you are currently working on? Are you currently looking for some new projects and clients?

I run 6 websites and I worked as an SEO consultant too. My partner and I are working on a new project together, but it’s still a secret. You need to hang out with us on Instagram to find out.

What do you like the most about being a Digital Nomad?

I like the freedom of being a digital nomad. We can pick a destination and move there as long as we have wifi. I also enjoy meeting and connecting with fellow entrepreneurs.

And what are the downsides of it (in case there are any)?

While sometimes it’s easy to meet other digital nomads, sometimes it has its challenges and it can be hard to meet people depending on the location. If we move too fast, it’s harder to connect with people. This is why we prefer to stay in places for a few months minimum.

What is a place/country you liked the most while travelling and why? What’s on your to-travel-list?

I really love Southeast Asia and I’ve been living here for a few years already. The food is amazing, the locals are friendly and the weather is usually better than in Canada. I’d like to visit South America at some point.

How often do you use coworking spaces? Is there one that you’d like to recommend to other nomads?

Most of the time, we pick destinations with great coworking spaces. My favorites are PunSpace in Chiang Mai and Tropical Nomad in Bali.

Melissa, can you give us a few tips on how to become an online entrepreneur?

Stop hesitating and start doing. Action is the one thing that will bring you closer to your goal no matter how small it is. I’d recommend checking my blog and read our tips on how to get started.

Can you tell us what is your biggest dream?

At the moment, I’m at a point where I’m scaling my business, so my biggest dream is to take my business to the next level and work with an amazing team.

In case you have a motto, could you share it with us?

“If I did it, you can too”. Sometimes, I still can’t believe I left this long ago – when I left Canada, I only had CAD 2,000 in my bank account (and I had debts). I managed to get rid of my debts while traveling and make a living to support myself. If I managed to do all of this in a foreign language, I’m sure you can too.

Could you share with us the names of two inspiring digital nomads that you are following?

I don’t really follow digital nomads, sorry. I follow entrepreneurs though.

Is there something that you would like to add?

Stop making excuses, and get started.
