Oh Prague! Prague is my home, it is a place where I feel safe and happy. What I love the most about Prague? That is hard to say, because there are so many awesome things to do in this city.

Where to stay:

Andel – For PARTY nomad

I live in Andel district. Everything about this part of the city is great, even its name is poetic – Andel literally means Angel. This part of the city is located on the left bank of the river Vltava and you just have to cross the bridge to get to the city center. I think Andel is the best neighbourhood for nomads whom like shopping (there is a huge shopping mall and many small cute local shops). The district can be a little bit dirtier than other parts of the city, due to many restaurants, shops. Some of the biggest companies have an office in Andel including Google, L’Oréal and MSD. Furthermore it is a traffic hub, so it is very easy to get to the city center.

Karlín – For POSH nomad

Karlín is a very nice part of the city, very clean and I would say not so crowded as other parts of the city. It is located very close to the city center, so choosing to live in Karlin is an excellent choice. During the weekend is very nice and calm, so if you enjoy calm places, this will be a good place for you.

JZP zone – For LIVE-LIKE-A-LOCAL nomad

Almost all foreigners and expats want to live/are living in JZP (Jiřího z Poděbrad) zone. JZP is different from the rest of the city, it is very calm, with small shops, restaurants and bars, it is an ideal place for a date or Sunday´s brunch. The streets are wide, green and clean and there is occasionally a Sunday food market, where you can buy fresh food and veggies.

Holešovice – For HIPSTER nomad

A cool, hipster place for young people. The neighbourhood has an unique industrial design and it is different from the rest of the city. Two of the best clubs and restaurants in Prague SaSaZu and Cross Club are located in Holešovice, so it is easy to party there, too!

Malá Strana – For CULTURAL nomad

If you love old buildings and enjoy small tiny streets, Malá Strana is an ideal place for you. This part of the city can be a bit expensive, since it is one of the top touristic places. Malá Strana is located on the left bank of the river and if you will be lucky enough you can rent one of many cool apartments with balconies/rooftops with the utterly amazing view of Prague.

Where to eat:

Radosť FX – Is a cool vegetarian restaurant and club located in IP Pavlova. It is actually the very first vegetarian restaurant in Czechia established in 1992.

Hlubina – A typical Czech Restaurant located in Andel. It is very simple, cheap and food is good.

Mikrofarma – My Italian friends took me to eat to this restaurant and I have to confess they absolutely have the best steaks in town!

U Fleku – The oldest restaurant and bravery in Prague, you should go there at least once!

Where to work:

Opero – An amazing coworking space located in the old town, with a small cute terrace/garden. It is a place for independent professionals, companies, and project teams, as well as regional entrepreneurs seeking occasional office space in Prague. Opero have been awarded The most attractive working environment in the Czech Republic for 2017 by CBRE and The best coworking & hub space.

Node5 – Set in an abandoned factory floor, Node5 has flexible spaces which are equipped with the latest tech and amenities. Node5 is a creative studio where you’ll be able to develop, design and market your stuff while receiving good vibes and positively critical feedback. –

Where to chill and party:

Vzorkovňa – An unique private club with table football, concerts and a HUGE dog. You should visit this place at least once while in Prague!

Cross Club – Unique design of this place (Steam punk) is attracting many tourists and locals.

Na břehu Rhony – Ideal place to grab a wine and chill.

Joystick Bar – A cool bar if you like to play table football or you like gaming machines.

Café v lese – This place is aiming to be your next living room, where you can chill and meet your friends.

Best time to visit:

During the spring, summer or in December (if you do not mind cold weather), Prague´s Christmas Markets are one of the best Christmas markets in the world.

Spend a day as a local:

If you would like to spend your day like a local here are few tips:

Czechs love to eat outside. I have never seen in my life so many street food markets, food festivals and various food events. Locals just love food! The other thing that locals love to do is enjoy the nature. They love hiking, so you can just grab a bus/train and go to hike. During the summer, you should not miss an iconic part of Prague – Náplavka. Náplavka is one of the best meeting points, located on the bank of the river Vltava. You can find there many small boats with bars, restaurants and also few clubs. During the summer locals love to chill in Náplavka, drink beer and enjoy the view. Your next stop should be one of Prague´s parks – this city is famous for its green parks, my favourite one is Letná. Do not miss the sunset in Riegrové sady – another iconic park that is ideal for a picnic.
