Hi Chris, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your lifestyle?

I’m a business advisor for large and mid-sized companies, and I also write books and give keynote speeches around the future of digital business. I live mostly by myself, though I see my teenage kids every weekend as well.

What is your current destination and what you are planning next?

Like everyone, I’m in quarantine, so there are no travel plans for right now.

What do you like the most about being a Digital Nomad?

I love the ability to work anywhere I have wifi and occasional power. It’s great to be able to serve clients all over the world from all the beautiful places one can visit.

Is there something that you do not like?

I don’t like air travel as it is often crowded, delayed, and frustrating.

What is a place/country you liked the most while travelling and why?

I’ve enjoyed every country I’ve visited. Argentina and Colombia are both lovely. I found Latvia exciting. I stayed very briefly in Berlin for a project and would love to see more. I found the UAE to be magical.

Are you going to coworking spaces while you travel and work remotely?

There’s a great comfort in having an actual coworking space available sometimes and not just working out of a cafe. I work with lots of larger companies often at their headquarters but I’ve visited startups at their coworking spaces.

Let´s talk about community. Is there a special place/city that you particularly liked because of people/community?

I enjoy the communities of people I’ve met while traveling. The people of the Netherlands liked good food and warm conversations. I loved Sweden for its beauty and the charm of their stories. Mexico City was vibrant and I feel like it’s one of the great cities. I think I have to do Paris again, because I didn’t meet enough of the people there and it felt lonely to me.

Chris, can you tell us what is your biggest dream?

I’ve lived many of my dreams already. I’ve been a very lucky man. Every day, my dream is to serve smart people and see my ideas help others win.

In case you have a motto, could you share it with us?

Be helpful. It’s the advice I follow all the time.

Is there something that you would like to add?

I’m not a digital nomad because I love the lifestyle. I love that my work takes me all over the planet and that I can operate wherever I have signal.
